At Servinox, we strive to assist our clients at the earliest stages of their project. We provide our expertise, know-how and calculation and sizing tools to design offices, engineering departments, specifiers, integrators, boilermakers, pipe fitters, end-users and agents.

Sizing safety valves

Sizing safety valves

We have various calculating and sizing methods for pressure and vacuum safety valves (vacuum break) to optimise and ensure the protection of lines and tanks, especially those exposed to thermal shock (hot process and washing, cooling and cold rinsing). We have a thermal and chemical shock simulation tool developed in collaboration with an external technical office to optimise the size of our HSV type ultra-clean valves, our BOG type pressure/vacuum valves and our SHP type pressure valves.

Sizing of vacuum powder introduction valve

Sizing of vacuum powder introduction valve

For many years, we have developed a valve specifically designed for vacuum-based powder introduction. It soon became clear that we needed to assist our integrator, boilermaker and user customers in determining and selecting the right size of our valve. This involves considering its environment, the characteristics of the process reactor and the manufacturing parameters of the customer’s products.
All too often, valves with excessive cross-sections are chosen, leading to chaotic powder introduction phases and the risk of overloading the tank equipment, without yielding real productivity gains, and sometimes causing the opposite effect.
In this regard, we have developed an in-house sizing tool for adjusting the process parameters and the selection of the optimal diameter for our RT type vacuum powder introduction valve.

Studies of washing valve jets

From its foundation, SERVINOX has been involved in addressing the washing and cleaning challenges of its customers’ process equipment. Today, we continue to focus on improving the washing of tanks, production tanks, and process reactors. We contribute to enhancing wash cycle performance and facility efficiency while positively impacting the environment by reducing energy, water and washing solution consumption, and decreasing the volumes of waste requiring treatment. To achieve this, we did not settle for just developing a flush-mounted washing valve. We considered that each valve installed on a tank required careful study and design, with holes for directed jets, based on its position and the blind spots or hidden areas inside the tank. These areas are inaccessible to conventional wash balls and heads, typically positioned on the tank dome.

Eco-calculator

Eco-calculator

Drawing on our experience and expertise in defining, designing, manufacturing, and commissioning product recovery solutions in process transfer lines, commonly referred to as pipeline pigging systems, we have developed an eco-calculator in collaboration with Altermaker.

What is the SERVINOX eco-calculator?

It is a tool for calculating the cost and impact of different pipe cleaning methods that considers:

  • Product characteristics for pigging;
  • Transfer pipeline parameters;
  • The cost of energy (electricity, gas, fuel, etc.), utilities (water, air, or other fluids), and local waste treatment expenses;
  • Pigging frequency and, if applicable, washing frequency, with the associated costs (water, detergents and washing products, various energy supplies, etc.);
  • Cost of pigging equipment (launching stations, receiving stations, valves adapted to the pigging process, pigs, etc.) and their integration.

Customers have access to a support system that integrates return on investment (ROI) calculation and positive environmental impact assessment, aiding in the development of investment budget and simplifying the acquisition process.
